The Liberty Theatre Company Receives $11,600 Gift from 100 Men Who Care Wood River
Valley
Hailey, ID – 8/25 — The Liberty Theatre Company is thrilled to announce it has received a
generous gift of $11,600 from members of 100 Men Who Care Wood River Valley, awarded
during their July quarterly gathering. Executive & Artistic Director Emily Meister, nominated by
board member Marty Kaplan, delivered a compelling presentation to the group – sharing The
Liberty Theatre Company’s work, impact and future needs – leading to robust support from
donors.
Highlights of the Presentation & Vision:
● TLTC is a Wood River Valley regional professional theatre company.
● The company has embraced a dual mission:
○ World-class professional theatre, bringing national artistry together with powerful
local talent.
○ Radical access, most notably through their Pay‑What‑You‑Feel Season Pass
model, ensures that theatre remains accessible to all, regardless of economic
means. In the past two seasons, pass sales grew from 600 to 800+ and
attendance overall has increased nearly 400%.

● TLTC serves nearly 8,000 patrons each season, with each new production contributing
significantly to the cultural fabric of the valley, and the overall vitality of downtown Hailey.
● In addition to mainstage productions like Waitress, their highest grossing, most attended,
and most expensive production to date – the company offers educational programming, a
high school apprenticeship program, Spanish‑language storytelling experiences, free
performances with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and an ever-growing 24‑Hour
Theatre Festival open to all ages.

With these funds, TLTC will:
● Strengthen its 2025–2026 production season, covering key operating and production
costs.
● Support its educational and radical access programming.

● Begin planning for monthly community artist readings and creative workshops, building a
sustainable space for nurturing emerging voices and evolving company artistry.
“We are deeply honored and so grateful to receive this support from 100 Men Who Care Wood
River Valley,” said Meister. “This gift is an incredible acknowledgment of their belief in our
mission to create professional theatre that is both artistically ambitious and radically accessible.
We are excited to invest these funds into our community, our artists, and the future of
storytelling in our valley.”
