The Trailing of the Sheep Festival is months away but sponsoring the species responsible for “trailing” them is upon us. Festival organizers have opened up sheepdog sponsorship opportunities for the 2022 National Point Qualifying Sheepdog Trials taking place during the festival from Thursday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 9.
There will be 110 sheepdog sponsorships available for the trials. Dog supporters are randomly assigned a dog after the running order is established. However, sponsors can request a specific dog. The cost is $135 per dog, which includes:
- Free entry for two people each day of the event
- Trailing of the Sheep Sheepdog Championship Trials program
- Photo of dog/handler and supporter
- Listing on Trailing of the Sheep website
- Listing in program, next to sponsored dog
- Names announced each time sponsored dog runs
