The cities of Sun Valley and Ketchum have formed a partnership to contract for road reconstruction along Sun Valley Road, from Main Street in Ketchum to the Sun Valley Gun Club in Sun Valley. The project will also include downtown Ketchum pedestrian enhancements.
Rehabilitation work will include milling and repaving the base of Sun Valley Road and is scheduled to begin in mid-May. It is expected to be wrapped up in July. The cities are asking drivers to be aware that one lane of traffic will be open at all times and, when necessary, detours will be made available with traffic control devices and flaggers.
The intersection at Sun Valley Road and Saddle/Dollar Road will not be addressed this year. Questions should be directed to Bill Whitesell, street superintendent, or Nancy Flannigan, city clerk, at (208) 622-4438.
