Hospital Names Two New Execs

St. Luke’s is bringing on two new high-level executives to its Wood River Valley team. Almita Nunnelee, R.N., BSN, has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer of St. Luke’s Wood River (SLWR). Angela Brady, MHL, R.N., CEN, NE-BC, will become Associate Chief Nursing Officer for SLWR.

Nunnelee has been serving in an interim role since October and was St. Luke’s Center of Excellence Quality Programs director prior to coming to SLWR. Joining St. Luke’s in 2003, she has extensive experience in healthcare and is a proven outcomes-driven leader that excels at relationship building at all levels in order to influence change and advocate for quality and safety. 

“Over the past few months, I have been impressed with how the team at St. Luke’s Wood River operates,” expressed Nunnelee. “Everyone has demonstrated their dedication to becoming a highly reliable organization, promoting a culture of safety while exhibiting compassion for each other and their patients.” 

As for Brady, MHL, R.N., CEN, NE-BC, she will become Associate Chief Nursing Officer for SLWR. She has served in numerous critical roles at St. Luke’s Wood River for over 15 years, most recently as Nurse Manager for Med/Surg, Mother/Baby and the Emergency Department.  Angela has championed numerous process and safety improvement projects while fostering a collaborative, caring environment. She is a passionate leader and has deep roots in the Wood River Valley.
