On Tuesday, Sept. 21, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Blaine County Sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 20 at milepost 171 near Moonstone Ranch.

A crash scene investigation determined that a juvenile male, driving a white 2000 Chevrolet truck, struck the rear of a white 2006 Chevrolet truck, driven by Johnny Lee Fields, age 65, of Fairfield. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 20 in the eastbound lane.

Both drivers were the single occupants in their respective vehicles and both were transported for injuries to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center in Ketchum. Fields was wearing a seatbelt. Both vehicles received substantial damage and were towed from the scene.
