If you appreciate an April Fool’s Day joke, Ketchum Mayor Neil Bradshaw may be your condiment of choice.
In a section from his “Mayor’s Missive” entitled “Council considers renaming Ketchum,” Bradshaw announced a potential donation from a large multinational corporation. The catch? The City of Ketchum would have to change its name to Ketchup. The other catch? It was an April Fool’s joke.
“There are at least 57 good reasons to switch names but please let us know what you think,” Bradshaw wrote. “Comments to participate@ketchup.com.”
At least no one tried to name it Catsup.
