OUR VOICE COUNTS
We had a lovely Father’s Day event at St. Thomas Church on Saturday. Thank you to St. Thomas for co-hosting this event with us. Thank you to Marcia and Donald Liebich and Barbara Dwyer for their foolproof organizational skills and vision. We had about 30 adults and 20 kids come to enjoy the afternoon. Between the carne asada (thank you, Eduardo), the game of Lotería (thank you, Romero, MaryCruz, and Vera), the live music (thank you, Sabrina Roblin and Ted) and the games and arts and crafts, everyone had a great time.
A particularly HUGE thank you goes out to two local businesses in particular for the INCREDIBLE raffle we were able to host. Thank you to Carlos Hurtado and H Property Service for the $500 in La Cabañita gift cards. Thank you to Tod and Angi Hunter and Idaho Lumber for the $700 BBQ grill!! People were so grateful and excited about winning them.
Finally, thank you to our 26 volunteers! Tuvimos un evento encantador del Día del Padre en la Iglesia de St.Thomás el sábado. Gracias a St. Thomas por co-organizar este evento con nosotros. Gracias a Marcia y Donald Liebich y Barbara Dwyer por sus habilidades organizativas infalibles y su visión. Tuvimos unos 30 adultos y 20 niños que vinieron a disfrutar de la tarde. Entre la carne asada (gracias, Eduardo), el juego de lotería (gracias, Romero, MaryCruz y Vera), la música en vivo (gracias, Sabrina Roblin y Ted) y los juegos y las artes y manualidades, todos lo pasamos muy bien.
Un agradecimiento particularmente ENORME va a dos empresas locales en particular por la increíble rifa que pudimos organizar.
