NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone is one step closer to scoring a Ford car dealership at the north end of Bellevue, west of Highway 75 off Kirtley Street. At its July 11 regular meeting, Bellevue’s city council approved a lot-line adjustment that more appropriately reflects the buildability of the topography there.
In August, the proposal to develop the Karl Malone Ford Dealership and Powersports Store will go in front of the planning and zoning committee. If the project is ultimately approved by the city, it will likely move the dealership owned by Malone in Hailey to the city’s southern neighbor. The former Utah Jazz forward owns a number of dealerships in Utah and elsewhere. His affinity toward Idaho may likely be due to his wife, Kay Kinsey, who was Miss Idaho USA in 1988.
