Virginia McConnell and Jakub Galczynski cross the finish line first, winning the full-marathon segment of the inaugural Elephant’s Perch “Legends Never Die” Trail Run held Oct. 2. The event was staged at Oregon Gulch with half-marathoners completing one loop of the 13.1-mile course and full-marathoners completing two loops at 26.2 miles.
Race director Thomas Smiley said the event was sold out, with 39 runners in the half-marathon and five in the full-marathon.
