Organizers for the Trailing of the Sheep Festival are advising folks to visit their website ASAP as registration for all classes and sales for all ticketed events are open and many events are already sold out. More than 30 events and activities comprise the Oct. 6–10 festival that is marking its 25th year.
Festival organizers also announced they are breaking ground on the monument project this week, which means the unveiling of the bronze sculpture by Danny Edwards will happen during this year’s festival. Renderings show the piece will include 11 life-sized bronze sculptures depicting several sheep, a shepherd, a horse and a dog.
