I have been having the feeling that we need to let Mother Earth know how much we appreciate this wonderful planet. Maybe we need to apologize to Mother Earth for any mistreatment we have done, for any lack of respect we have committed to the planet. Possibly all of the disruption we are currently experiencing is due to a lack of respect we have participated in over the centuries, with no regard for the living organism that is the Earth.
I love the beauty that we find here. The flowers, waters, wildlife are simply breathtaking, but how often do we take time during the day to tell the water we appreciate it for all that is does. How often do we thank the land for providing us food and shelter. The Earth continues to give to us on a daily basis everything that we need. Maybe it’s time to only use that which we need, to keep things simple. Use as few resources as possible. Pray for the water to be abundant enough for all. Pray for truth and kindness to fill your soul and that of all others. Pray for peace to touch this planet as never before. Let those who need power and control let go and just enjoy the simplicity of life.
My dad came back into his body as he was passing to let us know that the only thing you get to take with you is the love you have filled yourself and others with—no need to spend time acquiring stuff your children will have to dispose of. Let us start focusing on love—love for each other, love for our differences, love for our similarities. And, especially, love for Mother Earth.
This is my prayer: “Bless this sacred place that gives so much that I may exist. May I be a blessing to the planet and all others. May my energy be peaceful in all things. May I correct my thinking so that I radiate joy. May I be of service to all others and especially to the Earth. This day and every day may I not take for granted everything that the Earth provides. Let all destructive thought forms be neutralized. God bless the Earth, humanity, nature and bring all existence into balance in myself and on this Earth. I love you.”
