Organic Events will host a high-energy dance party, Girls Just Wanna Have FunDamental Human Rights, on June 4th, 2025 at the Argyros Performing Art Center in Ketchum to raise funds for the nonprofit Idahoans United for Women and Families organization in their effort to get the ‘Idaho Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Measure’ on the ballot in Idaho in 2026.
This Funkraiser will feature music, movement, and collective action and invites participants who believe in reproductive freedom, bodily autonomy, and equity to come together for a night of celebration and purpose. The event will feature music by DJ Effy K, who will keep the dance floor alive with empowering beats and include opportunities to engage with local advocacy groups working on the front lines of reproductive justice in Idaho.
“In a time when our fundamental rights are being stripped away, we’re choosing joy as resistance,” said Amanda Porino, event organizer and founder of Organic Events. “We may hold differing personal beliefs about reproductive health, but our choices should not be determined by the government.”
The Idaho Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Measure may appear on the ballot in Idahoas an initiated state statute on November 3, 2026 if enough signatures are secured. This measure would provide that “Every person has the right to reproductive freedom and privacy, which entails the right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on: pregnancy; contraception; fertility treatment; prenatal and postpartum care; childbirth; continuing one’s own pregnancy; miscarriage care; and, abortion care.”
Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased online at www.theargyros.org. All proceeds go to Idahoans United for Women and Families. Entry will begin at 7:30pm on Wednesday, June 4 at the Argyros Performing Arts Center, 120 Main Street in Ketchum, Idaho.
