Spring is here and it’s the perfect climate in the Wood River Valley to exercise your ears, mingle and meld to the tune of community.
There are two musical meetups in the Valley and there’s plenty of room for you. The ‘Ketchum’ Jam is sponsored by The Community Library and takes place May-October every other Saturday while the ‘Hailey’ Jam is sponsored by The Senior Connection, and is held monthly.
These are both for all ages and levels of musicianship. Bring your own instrument, obviously. It’s a wonderful occasion for local players to meet, play and connect. Karen Lukes, who often helps organize these events, explains, “We mostly play traditional, some Celtic and a lot of popular music but, really, you know really any kind of song someone wants to bring that they could teach the group!”
