With the impending resignation of Representative Muffy Davis from Legislative District 26 Seat-A effective Dec. 31, Governor Little has selected Ned Burns to complete her term.

The candidates for the seat were Ned Burns, Mayor of Bellevue; Karma Fitzgerald, Vice Chair of the Lincoln County Democrats; and Don Lappin, past Democratic Precinct Captain for Sun Valley.

“With the important issues facing our district and the state at this time, we appreciate the Governor’s prompt decision so our new Representative will be ready at the start of the next legislative session on Jan. 10, 2022,” Democratic party spokesperson Janie Davidson said. “We appreciate the service that Representative Davis gave us in the Legislature, look forward to her work in her new position as a Blaine County Commissioner and are anxious to welcome our new State Representative Ned Burns.”
