When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see the beautiful creation of Source or do you see what has been deemed acceptable by those that want to sell you something? Is that something the next self-improvement course, the next diet, the next health product that is guaranteed to relieve all of your physical pain or the next absolutely miracle product that will make you look twenty again? You know it is your choice what you see. Reality is not written in concrete. I started wondering about this when I looked in my bathroom mirror and it shows me a face without wrinkles, good skin and no dark spots. However, when I look in the mirror on the visor in my car, I get an entirely different picture. The wrinkles show, the imperfections in the skin are visible. I ask myself, Why would I get such a different result from the mirrors? Are not all mirrors the same? No, I guess they are not. I do not know what makes them different other than the lighting, but I get to choose which mirror I look in and which reality I desire. It is the same with all things in our lives—we choose what we see and rarely will any of us see that same thing because we each bring different criteria to the moment we are evaluating. Truth comes in many forms and the truth you choose must support who you are as a person. The truth you choose must resonate with your moral compass, with your choice of things that bring you joy. We are all such unique, special beings, there is no one like us. I suggest the next time you look in your mirror, make sure you love the reflection looking back at you. Tell yourself how beautiful you are from the inside out and soon that is the reality you will manifest. As they say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” I remember thinking that my best friend was one of the most physically beautiful people I had ever seen. She had thick black hair that flowed to the middle of her back. She braided it and put it on top of her head. She was slim and carried herself with perfect posture. When I introduced her to my brother’s mother-in-law, she later told me she thought she was the homeliest woman she had ever seen. I was shocked. How could she not see what I saw? You never know which mirror someone is using as their reference point. Choose to see with your heart and you will always find the beauty in all things. Love is the only mirror that truly reflects the Source, the God in each of us. Please use your heart when looking at the world. Hold each of us in beauty. Blessings, Dove
