Fall Cleanup Runs Sept. 15–29

Labor Day is in the books. In the Sawtooth Valley, that means it’s time to get to work.
The sixth annual Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA) end-of-season cleanup runs Sept. 15–29. To get involved, simply pick your preferred date and pick a place you’d like to clean up. Volunteers that register online are furnished with instructions, trash bags, latex gloves and snacks, among other resources to support the work.
Volunteers are also asked to report their work afterward through on online questionnaire. The U.S. Forest Service and its partners use the data to assess the condition of the SNRA and plan future interventions, organizers said.
The self-guided volunteer effort is a collaboration with the Idaho Conservation League, the Environmental Resource Center, Idaho Trails Association, Idaho Rivers United, Wood River Trails Coalition, Sawtooth Society, and Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association.
