We Get To Live Here

Yesterday I was out riding my bike through one of the lovely neighborhoods around us and I was overtaken by this fragrance of sweetness. I looked around the corner and was greeted by the amazing picture you see. Where do the ideas and inspiration come from to create such beauty that floods the eye with absolute joy and the nose with uplifting experiences? My husband and I often ride our bikes to the top of Dollar hill in Elkhorn and exclaim, “Have you ever seen anything so picture postcard perfect?” It is so perfect you can’t believe it is not an illusion. We do this almost every day and even after 30-some years of seeing this view, I am still amazed at how it takes my breath away. The clean air, the blue skies, the abundance of wildlife surround us. On a bike ride in one day I saw three lovely elk, three mallards having an interesting conversation and two Canada geese with a flock of babies. As I said, we get to live here.
All of this surrounds me and lifts my heart. In the mornings around 9 the sun is shining perfectly on my sky chair, I take my tea, place myself in the chair, engage the footrest and swing. It is like being in suspended animation for a period of time. I gift myself this experience as often as possible. This is truly an example of loving yourself—doing something that fills your soul and putting yourself first if only for a half hour in the morning
I would love it if each of you who reads this article would discover something that fills your soul and gift it to yourself on a regular basis. You would be amazed at what this does for your outlook on life. I have taken to riding my bike in the evening after supper because the path is mostly quiet then. Once you get in the habit of loving your life, life gets in the habit of loving you. It creates special miracles—some small but nevertheless—the smooth flowing of energy brings a richness to your existence. As an example, having an appointment set up with someone and then finding out they are going to be late and then finding out that the timing fits in perfectly with the errands you needed to run.
Start looking for the little joys that make life run smoothly and then it just continues to flow because you are in the frequency of having life love you. If I could, I would give you all the gift of loving yourself and having your life love you back. Look for it. I know you can find it. It exists for all of us, but becoming aware of it takes being quiet and noticing the flow of Source within your world. Blessings, Dove
