Have you ever considered the timing of when prayers are answered? That is one of the questions in my line of focus frequently. How do prayers get answered, and when? I think they get answered immediately and the answer is always yes but we can’t hear the answers because we become so focused on the how, when, where our answers will appear. We also get attached to a certain outcome and fail to see the multiple answers that are given us. We can so often only see one way, which is not the best or most delightful way.
The answer is always there but we so often can’t see it. It requires us to give up an agenda to see the solution before us. As an example, I prayed for snow almost every day this winter and we got instead beautiful sunshine. I was delighted with the sun and walking during the day but I was so concerned about the lack of snow that I did not enjoy the bright days as much as I should have. Now, after my garlic in the garden is up three inches with abundant green sprouts, my picnic tables are out and lawn furniture uncovered, we are getting lovely moisture, so needed in this valley. I bless the snow and I know its timing is perfect for all things. The timing of this snow will make the water last a little longer and I know my garlic can figure out the timing and will still be abundant.
Faith is one of the biggest gifts we can give ourselves. If we have faith, we can dismantle doubt and fear and embrace trust. We let go of all the matter and chatter in the head and go to our heart center to find peace, truth and encouragement. Most of what we worry about never happens, so worry and guilt are not functional emotions. I cannot tell you of an instance where worry and guilt improved my life. The ability to trust and have faith has always served me well. Patience is a virtue and when I trust the divine timing of all things, life flows and I am able to perceive answers that were not visible before.
Let us all hold onto the feelings we want to experience daily. Find something to be joyful about several times a day and realize that the ego is simply running old fear mantras that circulate throughout the universe. Constantly ask for guidance of how to be the greatest of service to the planet and humanity, your family and, first of all, yourself. If you do not take care of self, there is nothing in your tank to help anyone. Stop, breathe deep, drop your focus to your heart and be at peace. It will give you time to fill your tank and find joy.
Give yourself permission to take a nap, read a good book, sit in the sunshine. Maybe that is the greatest thing you can do (be) for the earth. All of us need to stop energizing the agenda of politics and focus on loving each other, animals, trees, plants, rocks, and realize you are in charge of the experiences you are choosing.
Choose wisely, look deeply and be true to yourself. Much love, Dove
