After a two-year, pandemic-caused hiatus, the Papoose Club announced the return of the Nordic Cup Race on Feb. 13, when kids ages 3–13 are invited to spend the morning on the trails at the Quigley Nordic Center in Hailey. Classic and skate-skiing events on courses ranging in distances from 0.5 to 3 kilometers are offered as well as an obstacle course.
Established in 2006, the Nordic Cup is staged in partnership with the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation and Blaine County Recreation District. The Nordic Cup Race is free to the community. This year’s theme, Gliding on Rainbows, celebrates the returning of the full spectrum of the Papoose Club’s activities. Please dress in costumes of bright colors to glide on your own rainbow. Rainbow beanies to the first 50 signups.
Signups can be done and more information can be found online at Papooseclub.org/Nordic-cup
