On Oct. 16, Friedman Memorial Airport will welcome members of the community to its Meet the Fleet event. Kids will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with fire engines, police cars, heavy equipment, airplanes and helicopters.
The Kiwanis Club of Hailey will be providing hotdogs, burgers and beverages free of charge. A raffle for an introductory flight lesson with local flight instructor John Strauss will also be held. All proceeds will go to the Kiwanis Club for improving parks, playgrounds and other community projects.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
