{"id":9680,"date":"2018-11-07T22:56:31","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T22:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=9680"},"modified":"2018-11-07T22:56:31","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T22:56:31","slug":"meadows-rv-park-makes-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2018\/11\/07\/meadows-rv-park-makes-improvements\/","title":{"rendered":"Meadows RV Park Makes Improvements"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_9681\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9681\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9681\" src=\"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/the-meadows-rv-park-ketchum-id-05-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9681\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sun Valley Economic Development Executive Director Harry Griffith in front of the future culinary institute space.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>By Hayden Seder<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The new owners of The Meadows RV Park south of Ketchum are rolling out the most significant changes to the property since it was built in the 1960s.<br \/>\nPacific Current Partners purchased the 43 sites on the east side of Highway 75 two years ago and has been working to get permits to offer more than the standard offerings of summer hookups and showers, WiFi and laundry facilities.<br \/>\nThe company owns and operates mobile home parks and RV parks across the country.<br \/>\nChange started with the overall appearance of the property and included bringing in new mobile homes, upgrading internal amenities and launching a redesigned website with new video tours of the property and area.<br \/>\n\u201cWe were also able to winterize the RV park,\u201d said Thom Niederkofler, property operations partner with the firm. \u201cIt used to be that RVers in the winter couldn\u2019t have water, sewer, and electric hookups. But we\u2019ve winterized all of those utilities so that people can come in the winter. We think there\u2019s a huge market for that.\u201d<br \/>\nFuture plans for the park are to put in more premium spaces or modify space to make them bigger.<br \/>\n\u201cWhen the park was built back in the \u201960s, RVs were smaller than they are today,\u201d Niederkofler said. \u201cWe get a lot of big, modern RVs that can\u2019t fit in our spaces, or have difficulty.\u201d<br \/>\nWhile securing the proper permits to finalize the changes, video on the park\u2019s website is available so that RV owners know what to expect in terms of space and layout at the park.<br \/>\nThe goal is to minimize surprises that could become complaints by giving guests more information to plan their stays around.<br \/>\n\u201cThe marketing videos are designed to show what the park looks like and demonstrate the overall beauty of the area,\u201d said Mark Koep, founder and CEO of\u00a0CampgroundViews.com. \u201cIt is something that all travelers want\u2014to be able to see the place they will stay\u2014and is a smart initial investment by the company in revitalizing the property.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Meadows RV Park is situated in a scenic location with direct access to the popular paved multi-use Wood River Trail, allowing guests to walk, bike or run.<br \/>\n\u201cOnce in our park, guests are presented with excellent views of the mountains, including the Seattle Ridge Day Lodge at the top of Sun Valley Mountain Resort,\u201d Niederkofler said.<br \/>\nFor more information on The Meadows RV Park, visit meadowsrvpark.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Hayden Seder The new owners of The Meadows RV Park south of Ketchum are rolling out the most significant changes to the property since it was built in the 1960s.
