Join the community for a wild night out celebrating this cult classic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe Rocky Horror Picture Show\u201d originated as a musical in London and was adapted into a film in 1975 starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf. The movie pays homage to the horror creature-features of the 1950s and 1960s through song and dance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">While driving home during a rain-filled night, straight-laced lovebirds Brad and Janet end up at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. They are greeted by his strange and bizarre entourage and find that he\u2019s having a party. But, this is no ordinary party, and no ordinary night. This is the unveiling of the Dr.\u2019s latest creation, Rocky, a man-made Adonis that will give&#8230; absolute pleasure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201cThis show is about being yourself and knowing you are enough,\u201d said Spot co-founder Kevin Wade, who plays Brad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201cAnd embracing the unconventional aspects of yourself and of others,\u201d added Kayla Hansen, who plays a Transylvanian and who is a new addition to the cast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Portland resident Julia Bray will also join the cast this year in the role of Janet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201cI\u2019ve gained such enormous admiration for all the amazing details of the visual film, and it\u2019s a blast to play alongside such skilled performers like Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry,\u201d Bray said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">With \u201cThe Rocky Horror Picture Show\u201d projected alongside a live cast of actors who give \u201caudience participation\u201d a whole new meaning, The Spot hopes this will be a night that attendees will remember for a very, very long time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201cThis show is loud, proud and involved,\u201d said Alec England, who plays Rocky. \u201cUnlike most shows, audience participation is encouraged. This is the show for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">In addition to Kevin Wade, Hansen, Bray and England, the cast stars Peter Burke as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Brett Moellenberg as Riff Raff, Yanna Lantz as Magenta, Connor Wade as Dr. Scott, Mark Oliver as Eddie\/The Criminologist, and Izzy Taylor as The Lips. The cast members provide live music and \u201ccallbacks\u201d to the screen throughout the production.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">True to cult fashion, prop bags will be provided to audience members with instructions on how to participate in the show. Traditional items to throw and use, like rice, toast, water guns, party hats, newspapers, playing cards and more, are included.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201cThe amazing folks at The Spot are doing exactly what the young crowd is looking for,\u201d said Connor Wade. \u201c\u2018Rocky\u2019 is a chance to have a weird, funny, sexy time, but moreover a chance to build a community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">The Spot will provide a special discounted performance on Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. for Valley youth and those under 21. All other showings are 21 and over and BYOB, with performances on Thursday at 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. and a performance on Halloween at 10 p.m. Costumes are highly encouraged at all performances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">There are only 60 seats per performance.
