The talk is part of the library\u2019s \u201cThe West Where We Are\u201d series and will focus on the pair\u2019s writing craft in the context of the American West.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Amanda Fortini is an essayist and literary critic. Her essays and reviews appear in\u00a0The New York Times, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, The New Republic and Elle, among others. The Denver-based artist will be in Ketchum for a five-day artist\u2019s workshop beginning on Wednesday, June 15. Light seems to infuse the artist\u2019s work, whether it be a winter snow scene in Colorado or a dramatic coastal seascape from northern California. Lynch\u2019s credentials include exhibiting at the annual Prix de West Show in Oklahoma City and the Coors Invitational in Denver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The workshop is a unique opportunity for students to learn from Michael Lynch and paint alongside seasoned professionals like Jill Carver and Kathryn Stats, who will be attending to expand their own personal knowledge and mastery of painting. Kathryn Stats was the instructor for Wood River Fine Arts\u2019 inaugural workshop last June and is represented by the gallery in Ketchum.
