The foundation further reported that Clayton and his family will continue to live in the Wood River Valley and that Clayton will retain his position as a trustee with the Blaine County School District.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Clayton has served as the district\u2019s Zone 4 trustee since December of 2014, having been appointed to the post by the school board to fill a vacancy from the earlier resignation of former Trustee Richard \u201cRick\u201d Roberts. Clayton\u2019s term of office extends through June of 2017.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Clayton had served as the foundation\u2019s executive director since 2013, replacing former Executive Director Don Wiseman. Prior to that, he was head of school at the Winter Sports School in Park City, Utah, for 11 years. He worked as head coach for the Park City Ski Education Foundation from 1997-2002.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">SVSEF reported that in his tenure with the organization, \u201cClayton presided over significant organizational improvements,\u201d including remodeling of the Engl Training Center \u201cinto one of the most modern and sophisticated ski training centers in the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Enrollment also increased during Clayton\u2019s tenure, growing this past ski season to include 585 young athletes. SVSEF further reported that the foundation\u2019s partnership with the Blaine County School District, Community School and The Sage School was strengthened under Clayton\u2019s leadership \u201cto provide excellent training in conjunction with the best possible education for all its students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201cRob elevated our organization to a new level, leaving us well positioned in attaining our vision of becoming the best junior winter snow sports program in the country,\u201d said foundation Board President Sam Adicoff. \u201cWe thank him for his hard work and wish him well in his future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">SVSEF reported that Adicoff will serve as interim executive director while a nationwide search is conducted for a new executive director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Clayton could not be reached on Tuesday for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clayton to continue serving as school district trustee BY TERRY SMITH The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation reported Tuesday that Executive Director Rob Clayton has \u201cmoved on from his position\u201d with the foundation.
