Abbott brings exceptional expertise in skin cancer prevention, early detection, and diagnosis, along with a warm, approachable style that reflects his commitment to patient care.<br \/>\nDermatology services are in high demand in the Wood River Valley, and Abbott\u2019s arrival expands access for patients seeking timely, specialized care. His advanced training helps ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for a wide range of skin conditions.<br \/>\nOriginally from Denver, Colorado, Abbott earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University and his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Utah and advanced fellowship training in dermatopathology at the University of Pennsylvania. For the past four years, he has practiced throughout Montana and organized an annual dermatology conference at Big Sky.<br \/>\nOutside of medicine, Dr. Abbott enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and cooking with his partner, Larissa. They share their home with two dogs\u2014Bronco and Caballito\u2014and recently added a horse to their family. \u201cWhat attracts us to the Wood River Valley is the ability to live in a place where the outdoors is part of daily life,\u201d he said. \u201cHaving mountains close by is essential for us.\u201d<br \/>\nAbbott is thrilled to join his friend and colleague, Dr. Garrett Coman, at the St. Luke\u2019s Wood River Dermatology clinic. \u201cWe are grateful to have Dr. Abbott join our team and expand access to high quality dermatology care in the Wood River Valley.
