While the officer was approaching the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle produced a firearm, causing a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Additional backup and medical were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to St. Luke\u2019s Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The Bellevue Marshal\u2019s Office would like everyone to know the area is secure and there is no threat to the public. We would like to thank Blaine County Emergency Communications Center, Blaine County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Hailey PD, Hailey Fire, and Wood River Ambulance for their assistance.
