{"id":22399,"date":"2025-05-28T00:52:24","date_gmt":"2025-05-28T06:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=22399"},"modified":"2025-05-26T13:54:19","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T19:54:19","slug":"spring-cleaning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/28\/spring-cleaning\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring Cleaning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Dove<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Many years ago, when my daughter was taking a calligraphy course, she made me an incredible book with inspirational thoughts to guide me each day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>She put a tremendous amount of effort into this amazing piece of art; some were beautiful quotes from well- known artists, and some were her own thoughts to share.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Today, I opened my cherished book to a page that stated, \u201c If my want is not the same as you, Please pause before you correct my view.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This is an interesting concept to consider and so often we only view our opinion as being the one that is correct.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>What if we took the time to allow other evaluations of a subject to cross that line in our consciousness.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Those of us that had parents that grew up in the \u201cGreat Depression\u201d era learned to save everything as the shortages that existed could happen again.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>That belief system was so ingrained in our psyche that we have carried it into our lives without considering how a belief in shortage or lack creates that reality in our world.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It takes consciousness to examine all the beliefs we are holding that no longer serve us.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Do I really need to keep that piece of lumber, or that plastic cottage cheese carton that could be used to store something, or that piece of fabric that I\u2019m not sure what to do with it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I examine my clutter and realize that I do use much of what I have stored in case of an emergency however, when the idea of shortage becomes a belief system, you can get bogged down with things that take up your energy and accomplishes nothing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I am trying to become proactive in releasing that which no longer serves me.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Letting go of all those things that suck your energy is a place to start but it does take evaluation.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I think we as a population are moving into a new space of waking up and getting rid of the thoughts that clutter our mind.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Do you find yourself stewing over the same old thoughts?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>How do you stop the repetition?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Well, you do something about the repetitive thoughts, you recognize them and look for an answer that brings you joy.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then, you take action to remove the old energy from your world.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When the thing that disturbs you is removed from your environment, it ceases to consume your energy.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Look at what you surround yourself with.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Does it still bring you joy?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>If not, release it and let it bring someone else joy.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You are the creator of your world.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Create what pleases you.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Blessings always, Dove<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Dove Many years ago, when my daughter was taking a calligraphy course, she made me an incredible book with inspirational thoughts to guide me each day.\u00a0 She put a tremendous amount of effort into this amazing piece of art;
