This includes, but is not limited to, those who are low-income, unhoused, orphaned, victims of natural disasters, military veterans, refugees, and people with disabilities.<br \/>\nHelping children in our schools to develop compassion and tolerance for others is also an important goal of the Foundation.<br \/>\nAnother major focus of the Foundation is educational support for local students and funding for educational programs that help young people in the Valley achieve their full potential.<br \/>\nThat\u2019s why the Foundation is proud to support and donate money to Idaho BaseCamp (IBC) and its OHL (Outdoor Hispanic Leadership) program, which empowers kids to connect with nature, themselves, and their communities.<br \/>\nOHL, started by Herbert Romeo for Hispanic middle schoolers, is a free after-school initiative.\u00a0The program teaches confidence, leadership, and growth with the guidance of Spanish-speaking mentors.<br \/>\nWe are thankful to have such a passionate and visionary leader in Herbert Romeo.<br \/>\nYou can also help your community by supporting this bilingual section of Wood River Weekly, appropriately named, \u201cOur Voice Counts,\u201d\u00a0edited by Herbert Romeo, with articles around the Valley\u2019s Hispanic community.<br \/>\nWhy does RSF support the OHL program?\u00a0Simply put, it\u2019s community helping community.\u00a0The Wood River Valley is well known for its giving to great causes.\u00a0We are a Valley tribe.\u00a0We are ONLY strong through supporting each other.<br \/>\nRSF is so grateful to be able to give to these necessary programs.\u00a0Please consider donating to Idaho BaseCamp and their OHL program in 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NUESTRA VOZ CUENTA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La misi\u00f3n de la Fundaci\u00f3n Rainbow Sandals es mejorar y realzar las vidas de las personas que enfrentan diversos desaf\u00edos.
