The state-of-the-art facility rents out Porsches and Audis and also offers detailing services.
“Our goal is to be the premiere car rental option locally, offering the best service, the best vehicles and the best experiences possible,” Barry said.
Moment is filling a niche market that has long been underserved locally and there’s no doubt that Barry is the perfect person to help bring this business to town.
Barry is best known locally for serving as the GM at The Valley Club for 20 seasons. His two children, Addi and Jackson, grew up here and even though he and his wife, Jennifer, had a recent sojourn in Hawaii, the Wood River Valley is home for the Bevers. That’s why he’s excited to be back and taking on the new challenge of running Moment.
“Learning a new business is exciting and refreshing,” Barry said. “I didn’t expect to be doing this, but I couldn’t have set things up any better. We’re trying to be part of something bigger here.”
Barry is originally from Texas and first swung a golf club when he was 12. It instantly felt right and Barry found a passion that he’d carry throughout his life.
Barry’s first golf-related job was at the Mission Dorado club in Odessa, Texas. He then went on to work at The Pinnacle Club in Arkansas before taking a club manger’s job at Crane Creek in Boise.
After a dozen seasons at Crane Creek, Barry became just the third GM ever at The Valley Club. He spent two decades guiding the mid-valley golf club, including overseeing $48 million in capitol improvement projects to the course, its facilities and adding nine new holes. The Club at Hokuli‘a in Hawaii hired Barry away to help turn them into one of the top clubs in the Aloha State.
Larry and Karen Feiner then came to visit the Bevers on the Big Island. The Feiners, who’ve long had a home locally and own Sunset Imports in Beaverton, Ore., had a dream about opening a business like Moment in the Wood River Valley and always felt Barry would be the perfect person to run it. And knowing Barry’s track record of success, they were undoubtedly right.
One of the big reasons for Barry’s success is that he always tries to treat both the clients and his staff with respect and appreciation.
“The best part of my job is the people and creating relationships,” Barry said. “I’ve always known that I work for both the members (or clients) and as an advocate for the staff. It’s about creating a culture of service, enjoying and taking pride in your work, and treating people like family.”

Find out more about Moment at Drive-Moment.com, call (208) 315-6236, or visit them at 960 South Main Street in Hailey.

Hailey’s new luxury car rentals By MIKE MCKENNA “Life is made out of special moments,” Barry Bevers said. “We want to be a part of moments you’ll remember.” Barry is the general manager of the new Moment Luxury Car Rental on South Main Street in Hailey, just off Airport Way.
