{"id":21224,"date":"2024-07-24T01:05:45","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T07:05:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=21224"},"modified":"2024-07-22T16:00:13","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T22:00:13","slug":"dream-made-reality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/24\/dream-made-reality\/","title":{"rendered":"Dream  Made Reality"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\"><i>Longtime resident and local Hispanic business owner expands services to Twin Falls<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">BY MONICA CARRILLO<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_21226\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21226\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-21226\" src=\"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Novedades-Angel-2-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Novedades-Angel-2-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Novedades-Angel-2-80x60.jpeg 80w, https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Novedades-Angel-2-150x113.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Novedades-Angel-2-265x198.jpeg 265w, https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Novedades-Angel-2.jpeg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-21226\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Autor de la Foto: WRW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">D<\/span><span class=\"s1\">espite having no prior experience or formal education in business management, Marta Botello always dreamt of having her business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Not only was she able to make that happen, she is now also expanding outside of Blaine County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Botello, a longtime Wood River Valley resident and single mother of three daughters, is expanding \u201cNovedades Angel\u201d \u2014 her store originally started in Hailey, to Twin Falls, to cater to the growing Hispanic community in the Magic Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe are incredibly excited about the new store and the opportunity to serve more people,\u201d said Angel Maga\u00f1a, Botello\u2019s daughter and the assistant manager for the Twin Falls location. \u201cThis expansion is a testament to my mother\u2019s hard work and dedication.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Novedades Angel opened in 2016 after Botello saw there was a vacant building alongside Bullion Street that was available for rent and took the leap of faith through the support of her friends and family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">And with limited options for purchasing Hispanic products and transferring money to loved ones in the area, something that many families do to take care of loved ones they\u2019ve left behind in their home countries, Maga\u00f1a said her mom quickly made it work and \u201cembraced change and new challenges with open arms.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">By the time this news article is published, the Twin Falls store, to be located at 1043 Blue Lakes Boulevard North, Suite B, will also be up and running for the community and will have different items to serve their demographic in hopes of becoming a cultural hub for the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">They will be open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe demographics of both areas are distinct, and our inventory is tailored to meet these diverse preferences. For instance, we have sourced specialty items unique to the tastes and traditions of the Twin Falls community, including regional snacks, beverages, and artisanal goods that may not be as popular in Hailey,\u201d Maga\u00f1a told the Wood River Weekly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe\u2019ve also expanded our range of household items and fresh produce to better align with the shopping habits we\u2019ve observed in Twin Falls. However, the core services, such as money transfer options, which are crucial for our customers who support families abroad, will remain consistent across both locations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Maga\u00f1a added that although Jerome was an option, they saw there were already enough Mexican stores in the area, whereas they saw Twin Falls had a significant gap, especially as residents through Blue Lakes\u2014one of the busiest streets in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">According to the latest Hispanic Data Profile Book, made through the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs, Twin Falls County is home to a large Hispanic community. Other counties that are in the top 15 include Lincoln, Minidoka and Gooding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">With more diversity within these Hispanic communities that come from Puerto Rico, Chile, Cuba and other South American countries, Maga\u00f1a said they hope to bring them \u201c a piece of home.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe want to create more opportunities for community members to gather, celebrate their heritage, and support one another,\u201d she said. \u201cOur goal is to not only be a store but also a center of cultural and social engagement.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201c&#8230;We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this new chapter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">For more information about Novedades Angel\u2019s new location, go to https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/novedades.angel.3 or you can call them at (208) 944-0278. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Longtime resident and local Hispanic business owner expands services to Twin Falls BY MONICA CARRILLO Despite having no prior experience or formal education in business management, Marta Botello always dreamt of having her business.
