Photo credit: Hannah Kinson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p4\">By the time this is published, I will have officially been working for The Spokesman-Review and Spokane Public Radio for two weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">In June, I accepted a full-time position to be a Murrow News Fellow through Washington State University after working at the Times-News in Twin Falls as a Hispanic life and affairs reporter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Although it was very bittersweet for me, especially because I grew up in Hailey and have so much love for the area, I wanted to challenge myself and grow in a different community and knew this would be the best place to do it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Through this fellowship, I will be reporting for The Spokesman-Review and Spokane Public Radio for the next two years, covering rural issues in northeastern Washington. Regardless, I hope to keep dabbling in Latino issues within Spokane.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">I will also be freelancing and continuing to write remotely for the Wood River Weekly on the Hispanic community in Blaine County. With the amount of changes that have happened over the years, I believe I can continue to bring a different perspective to the issues and events going on in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">I am excited for this new journey in Spokane by working in these incredible newsrooms and to still have the ability to write for southern Idaho.
