Never got one of those.\u201d<br \/>\nBut this internship reunion was special and came with a different meaning.<br \/>\nThe Voces Internship of Idaho Program was started in 2022 by two former Idaho journalists, Nicole Foy and Ximena Bustillo, to encourage Latino Idahoans to pursue a career in journalism and news.<br \/>\nFoy now works at ProPublica and Bustillo works at NPR.<br \/>\nWhen we had met for the reunion last week, Foy said that one of the things she was told when they were first bringing up this idea to possible partners was that they would be surprised if they could find even one person interested in this internship.<br \/>\nHowever, now almost two years later, that definitely hasn\u2019t been the case.<br \/>\nOver 10 of us are already alumni of the program and a handful of us in full-time positions at KTVB, Idaho News 6, Times-News, Idaho Capital Sun, and the Post Register, increasing our Spanish-language news and the Latino representation in Idaho media.<br \/>\nAdditionally, we\u2019ve created a huge Latino family through it all.<br \/>\nIf you are interested in hearing more about the program or have questions, go to https:\/\/www.vocesinternship.com\/.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NUESTRA VOZ CUENTA<\/strong><br \/>\nHace unas semanas, les dije a algunos de mis amigos que me dirig\u00eda a Boise para una reuni\u00f3n de pasant\u00eda y me miraron raro.<br \/>\n\u201c\u00bfUna reuni\u00f3n de pasant\u00eda?
