\"\"One of the reasons so many of us love Hailey is because of how \u201cwalkable\u201d it is.<\/p>\n

From the Hailey Greenway along the river to the bike path along the old train tracks, from the new pathways on River Street over to the lumpy sidewalks buckled-up by tree roots in the old part of town, when the weather is nice, Hailey is a great town for taking a walk.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why The Chamber is happy to announce the new Hailey Walking Tour Map! The map covers a loop around town and includes 20 different spots to check out local history and public art.<\/span><\/p>\n

An old, black-and-white map of Hailey\u2019s points of interest had been produced years ago. But there had long been hopes for a new, more modern, updated map. The Chamber took on the task of creating one by tapping into funds from a grant with the Idaho Travel Council. They maps were created by local graphics designer Pedro Manuel Miramontes Ortiz with guidance from the knowledgeable and helpful team at the Blaine County Historical Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n

The maps were created so that they can be changed and added onto over time. They are also available in pocket-sized hard copies, can be downloaded from the website, or a photo can be taken of the large one at the Welcome Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Walking Tour Maps cover a loop that runs for a few miles around Hailey. Highlights include hitting two parks, Roberta McKercher and Hop Porter; historical places like the museum and the Rails to Trails Monument; and lots of public art like the Good Shepard Monument, some stunning murals downtown and the Bow Bridge crossing over the river.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maps are available at the Hailey Welcome Center or online at ValleyChamber.org.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fourth of July is less than a month away and The Chamber and city staff are deep into preparation. There are lots of ways you can help be a part of all the small-town fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Donations are still needed to help put on the fireworks and Fourth festivities. <\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re always looking for more cool floats and parade entries. It\u2019s a fun, cheap and easy way to promote and celebrate your business, cause, club or team!<\/span><\/p>\n

Volunteers are also always welcome. It takes a huge effort from lots of folks to make the Fourth of July in Hailey one of the best Independence Day celebrations in the West!<\/span><\/p>\n
