{"id":19401,"date":"2023-03-08T01:44:22","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T01:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=19401"},"modified":"2023-03-09T00:47:34","modified_gmt":"2023-03-09T00:47:34","slug":"st-lukes-community-health-improvement-fund-supports-mscl-house-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/08\/st-lukes-community-health-improvement-fund-supports-mscl-house-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Luke&#8217;s Community Health Improvement Fund Supports MSCL House 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By SONYA WILANDER<br \/>\n<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men&#8217;s Second Chance Living<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Hailey, ID<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 MARCH, 2023\u2013 Men&#8217;s Second Chance Living (MSCL House) has been awarded a St. Luke&#8217;s Community Health Improvement Fund grant toward\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">House Programs and Support Services for our second house for the fiscal year 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MSCL House realized a long-term goal in October 2022, adding a second sober house in Hailey with a mission to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">help more men succeed in their recovery from substance abuse disorder. Since its inception, the organization has operated with a waitlist for services with demand exceeding capacity. The addition of the second house will support up to an additional 16 mean each year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Funds from St. Luke\u2019s CHIF will help provide equitable access to proven and critical programs run by MSCL House to all residents. These <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">include safe and sober living; access to medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care service providers; nutrition assistance; activities that promote healthy living; financial education classes and Matched $avings accounts; and funding for higher education and vocational training. MSCL House could not do this work without the generosity of the community and support from organizations like St. Luke&#8217;s. MSCL House is grateful to have St. Luke&#8217;s as a partner supporting MSCL House to serve the Wood River Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MSCL House Executive Director and Founder Sonya Wilander said, &#8220;Thank you to St. Luke\u2019s for coming alongside us and supporting the work we do in the community.
