{"id":19219,"date":"2023-01-11T00:23:51","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T00:23:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=19219"},"modified":"2023-01-10T20:24:44","modified_gmt":"2023-01-10T20:24:44","slug":"supreme-court-will-end-emergency-order-continue-remote-proceedings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2023\/01\/11\/supreme-court-will-end-emergency-order-continue-remote-proceedings\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Court Will End Emergency Order, Continue Remote Proceedings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">The Idaho Supreme Court\u2019s current COVID-19 emergency order will be rescinded as of April 1, 2023, the Court ordered today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Current measures governing remote court proceedings will continue, however, while the Court assesses potential long-term changes to court rules on the topic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">These changes were announced in two orders now posted on the Court\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since 2020, the Court has issued a series of emergency orders to ensure Idaho\u2019s courts remain open to anyone wishing to bring or defend a claim, while protecting the health and safety of court participants and staff. Today\u2019s orders will rescind the most recent such emergency order, which was released in February 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The process to determine long-term rules on remote court proceedings \u201cis expected to take some time,\u201d the Court noted in today\u2019s orders.
