After a two year hiatus due to COVID-19,\u00a0Fly Sun Valley Alliance\u00a0(FSVA) and the\u00a0Sun Valley Resort\u00a0have teamed up again to present\u00a0Ski for Air Service Day\u00a0by offering a full-day $60 lift ticket for skiing at Sun Valley on Sunday, January 22, 2023. All proceeds from\u00a0Ski for Air Service Day\u00a0will support air service at Sun Valley.<\/p>\n
\u00a0A limited number of the discounted $60\u00a0Ski for Air Service Day\u00a0lift tickets will be available for sale in advance, for cash or credit card purchase only, from Friday, January 13 through Saturday, January 21 at the following local ski & snowboard shops: Sturtevant\u2019s \u2013 Ketchum (Main Street, Limelight Hotel, Warm Springs) and Hailey, Board Bin, and PKs Ski & Sports.\u00a0 Board Bin and PK\u2019s Ski & Sports will take phone sales with credit card.\u00a0 No $60 lift tickets will be sold on January 22.\u00a0 Lift ticket purchases are cash or credit card only and not refundable.\u00a0 A processing fee will be added to credit card sales.\u00a0 There is no limit to the amount of tickets an individual may purchase.\u00a0 Lost tickets cannot be replaced.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The participating ski shops will also be offering 50% off on demos and rentals for the day, and several Sun Valley area lodging properties will have discounted deals, making it an extremely affordable ski weekend for both locals and visitors.\u00a0 Proof of purchase of Ski for Air Service Day lift ticket must be provided to secure the ski\/board rental and lodging deals.<\/p>\n

District Implements Winter Range Closure<\/b><\/p>\n
KETCHUM, Idaho (Dec. 17, 2022) \u2014 The Ketchum Ranger District is instituting an area closure in the Warm Springs drainage to protect wintering elk and deer effective immediately due to early season snowfall.<\/p>\n
This annual closure, implemented in partnership with Idaho Fish and Game, begins when the presence of wintering big game animals and snow depth indicate that the protection is warranted.<\/p>\n
All National Forest System lands from the West Fork of Warm Springs east to Ketchum and north of the Warm Springs Road within the Warm Springs drainage will be closed. Signs will be posted at normal access points.<\/p>\n
