The first-ever MoleFest hosted by The Hunger Coalition was a total success, with various community members stopping by for the cooking competition.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, June 11, The Hunger Coalition hosted a MoleFest from 4-7 p.m. with top chefs cooking for the community. All community members were able to try each and every mole and were able to pick who was their favorite.<\/p>\n
With families and individuals joining in from all over Blaine County, many sat as strangers and ended with a full stomach and a warm heart, getting to know one another.<\/p>\n
And as someone who just came back from Puerto Rico, it was a wonderful experience seeing so many people gathering to support the cooks and support The Hunger Coalition with this event, especially after COVID-19 and what seemed to be a very long winter. There was a fantastic performance, a raffle, arts and crafts for kids, as well as conchas (a sweet Mexican bread) for dessert.<\/p>\n
With many community organizers, like Herbert Romero, event director of Blaine County,\u00a0 <\/span>at this event, talks of various upcoming events this summer are already in the works. These are some of the following events founded and coordinated by Herbert Romero: The Kiwanis Kids Fair, Hailey HOTWHEELS CarShow, 5th Annual Hailey Hispanic Heritage festival and 2nd Annual Carey Hispanic Heritage Festival coming later in the year.<\/p>\n So keep an eye out, because this is only the beginning of a very fun and exciting summer!<\/p>\n NUESTRA VOZ CUENTA<\/b><\/p>\n E<\/p>\n l primer Festival de Mole organizado por The Hunger Coalition fue un \u00e9xito total, con varios miembros de la comunidad que se detuvieron para la competencia de cocina.<\/p>\n El s\u00e1bado 11 de junio, la Coalici\u00f3n Hambre organiz\u00f3 un Festival de Mole de 4:00 a 7:00 p.m. con los mejores chefs cocinando para la comunidad. Todos los miembros de la comunidad fueron capaces de probar todos y cada uno de los moles y tener la oportunidad de elegir cu\u00e1l era su favorito.<\/p>\n Con familias e individuos que se unieron de todo el condado de Blaine, muchos se sentaron como extra\u00f1os y terminaron con el est\u00f3mago lleno y un coraz\u00f3n c\u00e1lido al conocerse.<\/p>\n Y como alguien que acaba de regresar de Puerto Rico, fue una experiencia maravillosa al ver a tantas personas reuni\u00e9ndose para apoyar a los cocineros y apoyar al Hunger Coalition con este evento, especialmente despu\u00e9s de COVID-19 y lo que parece ser un invierno muy largo. Hab\u00eda una actuaci\u00f3n fant\u00e1stica, una rifa, arte y artesan\u00eda para los ni\u00f1os, y tambi\u00e9n conchas (un dulce pan mexicano) para el postre.<\/p>\n Con muchos organizadores comunitarios, como Herbert Romero, director de eventos del condado de Blaine, en este evento, las conversaciones de varios eventos pr\u00f3ximos este verano ya est\u00e1n en proceso.
