The city received over 1,000 donations to make the $8 million purchase possible. Donors of $1,000 or more will be recognized on the donor wall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The city will preserve its right to develop the preserve to include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Off-leash dog access<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creek and habitat restoration<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New water-conscious irrigation system<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Walking trails<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Informal gatherings and activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nordic ski and snowshoe trails<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Public restrooms.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The campaign goal was set at $9 million, which includes $1 million to replace the irrigation system and provide essential site improvements. The city needs $92,000 more in donations to reach that goal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The city is now taking next steps to establish the Preserve, detailing a master plan that will guide the final locations of the bathroom, benches, and signage related to donor recognition.
