We,\u00a0the Hispanic LatinUS Leadership Taskforce, requested this important conference two years ago due to the importance of concerns we were listening to and exploring community solutions that make sense to the Hispanic families and community at large.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">I, Herbert Romero, participated in last year\u2019s Idaho Falls conference to experience the impact and came out of the conference hopeful and encouraged to bring it to Blaine County. I asked Margie Gonzalez if she would consider us and she right away said yes and then spoke to Tammy Davis to partner up on this initiative, who was also on board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">After Davis spoke with the\u00a0Bellevue\u00a0marshal, we are\u00a0excited to present an upcoming conference that will be proactive in continuing to build strong and trustworthy relationships with law enforcement.\u00a0I am thankful for their support and changes that they have committed to for families in the community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">My son is a proud deputy of the Blaine County Sheriff\u2019s Office and part of the Hispanic liaison team, so I am beyond happy that my invitation to the L.A Sheriff\u2019s Department is coming to present on their Youth V.I.D.\u2014a program and community outreach initiative.
