{"id":17578,"date":"2022-03-09T01:20:52","date_gmt":"2022-03-09T01:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=17578"},"modified":"2022-03-08T21:21:56","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T21:21:56","slug":"airport-call-for-artists-takes-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2022\/03\/09\/airport-call-for-artists-takes-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Airport Call For Artists Takes Off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p2\">The local airport\u2019s art committee launched its biannual call for artists March 2, marking the eighth spring in a row Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) will use its blank wall space to showcase the work of Blaine County artists and non-resident artists who create work inspired by Central Idaho.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">SUN was remodeled and expanded in 2015, with renovations creating increased wall space the airport saw as an opportunity to exhibit artwork. Submitted work will be juried by representatives of the Friedman Memorial Airport management and board, members of the Hailey and Ketchum arts commissions, local gallery owners, and arts advocates in a blind jury process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">There is no entry fee. All applicants will be notified of the jury decisions via email during the week of April 25.
