Almita Nunnelee, R.N., BSN, has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer\/Chief Nursing Officer of St. Luke\u2019s Wood River (SLWR). Angela Brady, MHL, R.N., CEN, NE-BC, will become Associate Chief Nursing Officer for SLWR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nunnelee has been serving in an interim role since October and was St. Luke\u2019s Center of Excellence Quality Programs director prior to coming to SLWR. Joining St. Luke\u2019s in 2003, she has extensive experience in healthcare and is a proven outcomes-driven leader that excels at relationship building at all levels in order to influence change and advocate for quality and safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOver the past few months, I have been impressed with how the team at St. Luke\u2019s Wood River operates,\u201d expressed Nunnelee. \u201cEveryone has demonstrated their dedication to becoming a highly reliable organization, promoting a culture of safety while exhibiting compassion for each other and their patients.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for Brady, MHL, R.N., CEN, NE-BC, she will become Associate Chief Nursing Officer for SLWR. She has served in numerous critical roles at St. Luke\u2019s Wood River for over 15 years, most recently as Nurse Manager for Med\/Surg, Mother\/Baby and the Emergency Department.\u00a0 Angela has championed numerous process and safety improvement projects while fostering a collaborative, caring environment.
