{"id":16588,"date":"2021-08-25T01:40:15","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T01:40:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=16588"},"modified":"2021-08-24T20:45:42","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T20:45:42","slug":"deputies-shut-down-road-to-detain-hailey-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2021\/08\/25\/deputies-shut-down-road-to-detain-hailey-man\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputies Shut Down Road To Detain Hailey Man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Thursday, Aug. 19, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff deputies responded to a report of a man with a gun who had threatened others at a residence on Broadford Road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After one and half hours, deputies\u2019 attempts to contact Levi Scott Young, age 26, of Hailey, were unsuccessful and he was non-compliant with the officers\u2019 instructions. Officers then closed the road to traffic for public safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While deputies were taking Young into custody, he attempted to remove one of the officers\u2019 stun guns. Young was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Young was arraigned in Blaine County Magistrate Court on Friday, Aug. 20, and as of press deadline Tuesday was being held in the Blaine County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Officers from the Hailey Police Department and the Bellevue Marshal\u2019s Office assisted Blaine County Sheriff deputies in this incident.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, Aug. 19, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff deputies responded to a report of a man with a gun who had threatened others at a residence on Broadford Road.
