Blaine County School District is seeking new folks to fill two major roles within the district. The district said a hiring effort for a new district transportation supervisor and principal of Wood River High School are under way.<\/p>\n
The supervisor role oversees transportation activities across the district and its schools. The incoming supervisor will fill the role previously held by Lance Doby, who is moving into a position in the private sector.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to thank Lance for his work over his time in our district to bring new technologies to the transportation services for all our students,\u201d said Fritz Peters, interim superintendent of BCSD. \u201cWe commend him for his work during a number of transitions the department had to make over the last half decade. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n
The next WRHS principal will replace John Pearce, who served in the role for the past five years. Pearce has stepped down as principal to pursue new career opportunities. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe would like to thank John for his leadership and dedication to the students, staff and families of Wood River High School. Mr. Pearce worked daily to bring equity to all students at WRHS. We wish him the very best as he moves on to the next stage in his educational career,\u201d Peters said. \u201cNow, we are turning our attention to finding and hiring the next principal at the school.
