Ride The Bus!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><em>By Cece Osborn<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>OUR VOICE COUNTS<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Mountain Rides Transportation Authority is eager to engage the Hispanic\/Latino community, and give them all the details they need to know about when and where to get on the new, fare-free bus to Twin Falls. Starting Monday, April 5, Mountain Rides will offer a new, fare-free bus service between the Wood River Valley and Twin Falls. The new route is designed to improve access to medical appointments in Twin Falls; however, anyone can ride the bus to Twin Falls\u2014whether they are going to a medical appointment\u00a0or not. Like the rest of Mountain Rides\u2019 bus services, the Twin Falls bus will be available to the general public, operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and be fare-free.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6\">You can find the schedule on Mountain Rides\u2019 website, on Facebook, and on buses. Printed schedules are also at Atkinsons\u2019 markets and other locations around the Valley. The bus will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and give people a 10:15 a.m. \u2013 4 p.m. window in Twin Falls. People traveling north from Twin Falls and Lincoln counties will have a 1.5-hour window in the Wood River Valley, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Mountain Rides at (208) 788-7433 with any question\u2014in English or in Spanish.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6\">To offer some background, Mountain Rides is able to launch this new service with a grant from the National Aging and Disability Center. For many people who rely on medical care in Twin Falls\u2014like cancer and dialysis treatments\u2014arranging and paying for rides to\/from Twin Falls is burdensome. As the new service rolls out, Mountain Rides will analyze how well it: 1) increases access to medical appointments; and 2) improves the quality of transportation options to\/from Twin Falls.
