State troopers are hoping to reduce the number of those crashes by increasing patrols that look for aggressive drivers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Extra ISP patrols are already on the road as part of a statewide education and enforcement campaign to curb aggressive driving. The extra aggressive driving patrols began today and run through Feb. 15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIf you drive, you\u2019ve seen aggressive driving. Sadly, many of us know someone who\u2019s been in a crash due to aggressive driving,\u201d said Lt. Michael Winans with ISP\u2019s District 5 office in Pocatello. \u201cWhether it\u2019s speeding, red light running, or other dangerous behavior, if our enforcement efforts can educate and motivate drivers to avoid driving aggressively, we know lives can be saved.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p2\">What is aggressive driving? Here are some examples from ISP:<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Speeding or driving too fast for conditions<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Ignoring traffic signals<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Tailgating<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Weaving in and out of traffic, improper or abrupt lane changes<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Passing on the shoulder<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Making rude hand or facial gestures, screaming, honking, flashing lights in an aggressive manner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">To report an aggressive driver, find a safe place and call 911.
