{"id":13445,"date":"2020-03-27T12:26:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-27T18:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/?p=13445"},"modified":"2020-03-27T12:26:00","modified_gmt":"2020-03-27T18:26:00","slug":"st-lukes-wood-river-update-on-operations-march-26th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/woodriverweekly.com\/index.php\/2020\/03\/27\/st-lukes-wood-river-update-on-operations-march-26th\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Luke\u2019s Wood River Update on Operations \u2013 March 26th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">St. Luke\u2019s Wood River continues to operate both COVID-19 screening and sampling tent as well as walk-in clinic hours for both COVID-19 and non COVID-19 related illnesses and injuries.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Effective today, March 26<sup>th<\/sup>, the hours of operation for both will be from 10:00 a.m \u2013 4:00 p.m. until further notice.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The walk-in clinic has a separate entrance for non-respiratory related illnesses and injuries, supported by medical imaging and laboratory services. The walk-in clinic can be reached at (208) 727-8811.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Currently, our staffing levels and supplies are adequate. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Deb Robertson, St. Luke\u2019s Wood River Emergency Department Medical Director commented, \u201cWe are all so grateful for the staff who have been outside on their feet in inclement weather and in their PPE to assist our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mike Fenello, Vice President, Population Health, Magic Valley\/Jerome\/Wood River, added, \u201cWe are working diligently to restore inpatient capability as soon as possible. Providing emergent care for the community in a manner that protects the safety of our community and our caregivers remains our top priority. Given the rapidly changing nature of these circumstances, the community should\u202fexpect\u202fexpansion\u202fand contraction of services, as informed by clinical guidance.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Dr. Deb Robertson added, \u201c<span class=\"s1\">given the community spread, don\u2019t wait for the test or test result.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>There are measures you can take now to protect yourself, your family, friends, neighbors and way of life. Please abide by the self-isolation order.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The screening and sample collection tent\u00a0is located outside the Physician Office Annex at St. Luke\u2019s Wood River Medical Center at 100 Hospital Drive in Ketchum.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The walk-in clinic is located in Suite 109 of the Physician Office Annex.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Dr. Steven Greenberg, SLWR Family Medicine Physician is also providing patients with advice (see attached handouts in English and Spanish), He reiterated, \u201cI would strongly encourage the community to maintain their vigilance through social distancing and isolation of people who are presumptively positive or known positive for COVID &#8211; 19. Most patients have mild symptoms and require very little care. However, some patients, regardless of risk factors or age, experience significant worsening of symptoms, typically from day 7-10.\u201d He emphasized, \u201cPeople should seek care at any point if they feel their symptoms warrant medical attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">We encourage everyone to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\"><b>Stay home if you are sick.<\/b>\u00a0If you develop symptoms, please call St. Luke\u2019s triage hotline at 208-381-9500.\u00a0 If you experience severe symptoms, visit the emergency department. If you\u00a0need immediate medical assistance,\u00a0call 911.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\"><b>Practice social distancing<\/b>, even if you are not showing symptoms. This is a critical step in protecting our communities, especially vulnerable populations.<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\"><b>Maintain good hygiene<\/b>.
