We were young and in college and we had been dating only a couple of weeks. The card said, ”I like you better than chocolate-covered Easter bunnies and boy do I like chocolate-covered Easter bunnies!”

It made me laugh. Laughter in a relationship is a blessing. It can dispel a tense moment because it changes the energy, raises the frequency of the moment. For Valentine’s Day this year, try a little loving laughter.

A very wise old man explained to me that you should always marry someone you love talking to, because when you get to be old, talking is what you have that still works.

Consider this Valentine’s Day the gift of laughter. Remember the laughter you have shared with your partner. Fill your heart with memories of laughter. Maybe write them down. Make a card that reminds your partner of different times you belly laughed together.

I don’t know about you, but I want to belly laugh every day. It clears my energy from the bottom of my feet clear out the top of my head. What a gift that is!

Did you know that genuine, kind laughter is one of the few energies that come straight from your higher self? It can’t be faked. It reminds me of a joke I actually told while speaking at a funeral of a dear friend. “Four Catholic ladies were having coffee and bragging about their children. The first lady says, You know, my son is a priest and when anyone greets him they call him “Father.” The second lady says, Well, you know my son is a Bishop and everyone calls him “Your Grace.” The third lady says, Well, my son is a Cardinal and everyone bows to him and asks to kiss his ring. The forth lady chimes in and says, Well, my son is a male stripper and whenever he walks on stage, everyone says, “Oh My God!”

I hope this brings you some laughter and much love on this Valentine’s Day.

Life is a gift. The purpose is joy. Find yours!

BY DOVE remember the first Valentine I received from my husband of 56 years.
